About the project
Casa Volley - Brand Identity Design
Casa Volley is a brand created from the ground up for a client who envisioned a warm, social, and community-driven space inspired by her time living in Oaxaca, Mexico. There, she experienced a beachside community that gathered daily to play, connect, and simply enjoy being together. Her goal was to bring that same spirit to Upstate New York, adapted to a new environment, climate, and audience. Casa Volley would offer volleyball courts in the summer, and during winter, transform its indoor space into a cozy café and bar.
The brand needed to feel friendly, fun, and rooted in community, capturing the energy of backyard culture and social play, but with a more wood-forward, forest-inspired aesthetic instead of a beach style.

Challenge
The challenge was to translate the warmth and openness of a coastal community into a brand that fit the climate and style of Upstate NY. The identity needed to balance sport and leisure, staying true to the client's memories of Mexico while creating an atmosphere that felt relevant, local, and welcoming year-round.
The brand also required flexibility: it had to work across outdoor volleyball courts, indoor café/bar environments, social media, signage, and community-focused experiences. The visual system needed to communicate fun, inclusivity, community, and movement, while still feeling grounded, natural, and aligned with the forest-inspired direction.

Result
The final identity is a modern yet organic system, featuring wood textures and a flexible design that can adapt across seasonal and spatial uses. The color palette leans into wood-style hues, enriched with deep greens and calming blues, reflecting both the forest inspiration and the client’s vision of a living, evolving community space.
